Comprehensive sample management solutions created by scientists, for scientists
Brooks organizes and manages sample collections of any size, complexity or location in the world, leveraging our unmatched expertise, sample tubes and instruments, automated and biobank storage capabilities, transportation and advanced technology to enable you to achieve your research goals.
Our formidable logistics network is a trusted resource for moving extensive, high-value sample collections. Brooks can help your organization reduce the risk of sample loss, transporting samples quickly, safely and in compliance with government regulations.
Among our many government partners are:
The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. Through our partnership with Rutgers University, RUCDR Infinite Biologics and the BioProcessing Solutions Alliance (BSA), we support genotyping, logistics and biorepository functions for the Million Veterans Program, a longitudinal study that investigates how genes affect health for U.S. military veterans. Our scope includes genomic array design support, sample and data logistics, storage, and high-volume, advanced bioprocessing services for DNA samples collected from U.S. veterans. As a part of the project, we also provide a Brooks automated sample store used for long-term archival preservation of the program’s samples. Occasionally, Brooks is enlisted to transport large quantities of samples from one Veterans Administration hospital or medical center to another.
National Institutes of Health. Through the BioProcessing Solutions Alliance, we serve as a backup biorepository for several of the 27 institutes and centers that are part of the National Institutes of Health. Our BioStore II automated sample storage system is installed at the National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences. The National Cancer Institute at Fort Detrick in Frederick, Maryland also utilizes a Brooks BioStore™ II System.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). We support the CDC with consumables, instruments and automated stores. Brooks has also provided consulting expertise to help the CDC improve repository operations.
Immune Tolerance Network (ITN). Brooks provides resources to strengthen sample integrity and sample inventory data for this collaborative network of clinical research, funded by the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases. Our tools consolidate and manage data, allowing investigators to locate and receive samples quickly and accurately. Brooks also provides kitting services, sample logistics, sample preparation, lab services and storage for the ITN.
UK Biobank. Brooks provides six automated onsite stores, data management and biorepository management for an extensive cohort collection that serves the United Kingdom’s precision medicine research initiative, focused on finding cures for serious and life-threatening diseases.
Brooks Life Science Systems is a reliable partner for all your biobanking needs.
As a trusted resource for comprehensive sample management solutions, Brooks Life Sciences has the experience to protect precious research samples—whether they are stored in your biobank or at one of our state-of-the-art biorepositories around the world.
