Assay microplates

Frame material

Our microplates are made from polystyrene, a hard material with optical clarity. It is used for cell culture, fluorescence, luminescence, ELISA, and homogeneous assays.

Well shape

Round wells are suitable for most applications as they reduce droplet effects and wicking.

Rounded square wells ensure the best use of space and improve sample mixing, suitable for small volumes.

Well bottom

Flat bottoms are most suitable for optical imaging and cell culture applications.

Pyramid flat bottoms: unique shape of the well bottom with a very flat central part, designed for imaging and cell culture applications.

Plate color

Black microplates

These plates have been specifically designed for fluorescence and scintillation applications. They're also suitable for homogeneous assays employing fluorescence intensity, FRET and TR-FRET where measurements are top-read. These high quality plates assure the necessary accuracy and consistency for automated high throughput systems, generating optimum signal to noise ratios.

They are recommended for top reading fluorescent instrumentation because of their low background and minimized light scattering.

White microplates

These microplates have been specifically designed for luminescence applications, such as Luciferase Reporter Assays, due to the white plate maximizing signal intensity in cases of low signal from some or all the wells. The plates give optimum results from most top-reading instruments, and conform to the standard SBS footprint.

Clear microplates

These microplates are ideal for colorimetric assays, ELISA, and sample storage due to the clear polystyrene frames giving superior optical clarity. Read less ▲
