Chief Scientific Officer
Dr. Andy Brooks serves as the Chief Scientific Officer for Brooks Life Sciences.
Dr. Brooks is also the Chief Operating Officer and Director of Technology Development of Rutgers University Cell and DNA Repository (RUCDR)
As the Chief Operating Officer of RUCDR Infinite Biologics, Dr. Brooks oversees the operations of all laboratories within RUCDR, ensuring consistent and superior quality standards for all services.
David Gray, Ph.D.
Senior Vice President, Chief Strategy and New Business Officer
Senior Vice President, Chief Strategy and New Business Officer David Gray, PhD, joined Brooks Life Sciences in 2014. He leads next generation product and business initiatives in the life sciences business segment and currently serves as acting general manager of the cryogenic automation solutions business.
Prior to Brooks, Gray was chief strategy and new business officer at GT Advanced Technologies, Inc., where he held various executive management roles and was responsible for global strategy development and execution as well as internal product development. Gray spent several years as a mergers and acquisitions strategic advisor to various companies in the technology and life science industries.
He has a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, a master’s and a doctorate degree in chemical engineering (semiconductor processing) from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and an MBA from Stanford University.
Vice President, Automated Solutions Group
Robin joined Brooks in 2014 as part of the FluidX acquisition and now leads the Automated Solutions Group which comprises automated -20°C and -80°C stores, sample storage consumables, instrumentation to support sample handling and tracking along with the Global Service team for all Brooks Life Sciences products.
The portfolio of active brands include FluidX, Biocision, 4titude, REMP along with supporting legacy brands including Nexus, RTS and Matrical.
Prior to joining Brooks, Robin held a number of progressive leadership positions including Director and co-founder of FLUIDX, Director of European Sales for Matrix Technologies Corp (Thermo Fisher), General Manager and Product Manager for Cell Culture Instrumentation, and a number of technical and scientific positions with MRC (Cambridge) and AstraZeneca, where he focused on cell culture, monoclonal antibody, and assay development.
Vice President, Services and Informatics
As Vice President of Services and Informatics at Brooks Life Sciences, Martin Long is responsible for defining and achieving strategic goals and performance targets for the sample storage and management business segment.
Long has been solving science-based problems across the pharmaceutical industry value chain and for adjacent academic research and industries for over 30 years. He has led global businesses that focus on life and analytical science instrumentation, sample preparation, consumables, automation, informatics, and lab services.
Prior to Brooks Life Sciences, he was senior director of global marketing and business management for Thermo Fisher Scientific. Long also worked in various executive-level marketing strategy, product, and service positions with PerkinElmer.
He has managed staff and partnered with clients in the United States, Europe, China and Singapore. Long’s career includes developing and maintaining international quality systems and deploying continuous improvement tools to improve business performance and client satisfaction.
